Kalanath mishra is one of the noted hindi authors. He has born in Bihar. He completed his M.A. in Hindi from Patna University and started his carrier with a famous daily Hindi news paper of Bihar of its time named Patliputra Times. He has also done his Master of Business adminisration from L. N. Mishra Institute of Economic development & social change. Has been awarded degree of Ph-D. from Patna University, Patna on the topic: (Sahityakaron ke Jivan par adhrit   Hindi Upanyason me jivani ke tatwa evam aupanyasik Kalpana).

He left his job of newspaper and joined as lecturer of Hindi in Magadh University in early 1990. He is pursuing his writing along with his job.

He is working in the field of Education, Culture, Literature and Journalism. His Writings are in the field of different aspects of Hindi literature, as kavita, kahani, laghukatha, Samiksha, Reports, etc. His articles are being Published in various literary magazines.
